Sally Brown, owner and founder of Creative Crutches, has Cerebral Palsy. She opened Every Kid Mobility, Inc. in 2005 to market Adaptive Bikes. In 2009, she left the bike business and opened Creative Crutches to market personalized walking canes and crutches. She was named Entrepreneur of the year in 2007 by the Minnesota Council on Disabilities.
The first decorated crutches were developed for the "bike" kids at Every Kid Mobility, initially for one girl who told us she was embarrassed to take her crutches to school. Since that first pair was created in 2006, we have modified and improved our process so that the art appears to be hand painted on the equipment. Each of our products is created by hand, allowing us to customize equipment in a way that has never been available before.
Creative Crutches products are one more way for all of us to celebrate our differences and help the world see past our disabilities.
Our customers range from very small children, who are learning to walk with canes and crutches for the very first time, to adults who are using mobility products due to age, accidents, or surgeries

BFunkyMobility is owned by Jim and Darcy Brambrink. We started BFunkyMobility in 2010 but the process of application of digital imaging was developed and made complete by Sally Brown of Creative Crutches and Every Kid Mobility. We started the application of the imaging on walking canes with the intent to offer something more than just a plain old cane like grandma or grandpa had. We ourselves are baby boomers and want to stay young and feel young, therefore, the designs we chose to represent on our walking canes reflect this. We also have family members who use mobility products, have a sister in law who has C.P., and have worked in the DME Equipment supply distribution for several years. Our experience with retail, one on one with customers daily gave us the perfect opportunity to move forward with our idea. We love what we do everyday, the people we deal with and we continually get excited over new product designs. In our spare time we love to fish, visit with our family, (we have 3 married children) and are hoping someday to be grandparents. We hope you enjoy our products and please take time to leave a feedback or post a comment on our FB Page!
